Poster contest -
Design a 4-H themed poster to be entered for a chance to have it printed on Knox County 4-H t-shirts!
The poster must be 14" x 22" (a poster sheet folded in half) and anything glued on cannot stick out more than 1/8".
Write your name, age, school grade, teacher, and home address on the back of the poster.
Public speaking -
4th graders will read from a favorite book, story or poem. It should be 1-2 minutes in length, and the speaker should give
the title and author of the book, story or poem.
5th graders will give a speech about someone who has had an influence on his/her life. It should be 2-3 minutes long..
6th graders will give a speech about an experience through involvement in a group or team. It should be 3-5 minutes long.
*NOTE: 4th-6th graders' speeches do NOT have to be 4-H related.
7th & 8th graders will give an informative speech on a topic related to a main or favorite 4-H project. It should be 5-7
minutes long.
9th-12th graders will give an informative speech on any topic, but must include 4-H. The speech should not exceed 7
minutes. There will be a separate division for each grade.
Service Projects
Collect items for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes (bring small toys, hygiene items, etc.)
Make craft for Sunshine Ambassadors (items provided)
Bring items for basket to be auctioned at Awards Banquet (one adult male basket and one adult female basket;
bring other items including for a possible children's basket)
